Wax Printing is here! What’s that?
Wax Printing is an exciting, gorgeous and ecological method of printing invitations. Wax Ink is completely opaque and glossy, which enables us to flood a sheet of stock with it letting just lettering and design show through – the most economical way to achieve light or metallic lettering on a dark ground. Wax will also print on delicate and specialty papers smoothly, such as bamboo and vellum, without curling them. We love the way it will overprint dark, glossy patterns on dark paper for a tonal effect. (You can see all three techniques in the photo.)
You can feel good about your wax-printed invitations, too, because unlike laser toner or offset inks, the wax is non-toxic and does not need wasteful cartridges or bulky packaging to throw away.
